Smoking Cessation Classes

smokingiconCongratulations if you’re thinking about quitting smoking. There’s no question that quitting is difficult. The good news is that there’s never been a better time to try. There are new, proven techniques and medications that can help you overcome your addiction to nicotine.

This program is facilitated by our Pulmonary Physicians and Respiratory Therapists at Unity Hospital, and is the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® program. We’ll provide you with the information, support, and medication recommendations needed to help you quit once and for all. Other benefits of the program include:

  • Small group setting
  • Fun, interactive learning environment
  • Participant workbook and other information materials are provided

The 7 week / 8 session program is held twice a year.

Topics Include:

  • Medication that can help you stop smoking
  • Lifestyle changes that make quitting easier
  • Preparing for Quit Day
  • Managing stress
  • Avoiding weight gain
  • Developing a new self-image
  • Staying smoke-free for good

All sessions are held at Unity Pulmonary Medicine in the Professional Building next to Unity Hospital (1561 Long Pond Road, Suite 408).  The fee is $60 and may be covered by your health insurance.  We encourage you to call and inquire.

  • Thursday, October 4
  • Tuesday, October 9
  • Tuesday, October 16
  • Tuesday, October 23

Each session will be held from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
