SPS3 Secondary Prevention of Small Subcortical Strokes
To learn about preventing another stroke in those who have already had a subcortical, or lacunar, stroke; to learn about preventing post-stroke thinking problems and memory decline; to investigate whether taking both aspirin and clopidogrel, rather than aspirin alone, will be more effective in preventing another stroke; and to determine the best level of blood pressure control after a stroke. Participants will receive blood pressure medications and close monitoring.
