Flu Visitor Restrictions
UPDATED: March 26, 2017
In alignment with declining influenza activity throughout the greater Rochester area, visitor restrictions will be lifted at the following Rochester Regional Health facilities at 8 a.m. Monday, March 27, including:
- Rochester General Hospital
- Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic
- Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
- Unity Hospital
Visitor restrictions at United Memorial Medical Center remain in place at this time.
Symptom-free visitors of all ages will be welcome at facilities with lifted restrictions after 8 a.m. on Monday, March 27. People with fever or respiratory illness symptoms should delay their hospital visits until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.
Rochester Regional Health employees must continue to adhere to the masking policy throughout all system facilities until notice of the end of prevalent influenza season is given by the New York State Health Commissioner. Vaccinated employees should continue to wear and display their Flu Stops Here badge backers until new ones are issued for the 2017 – 18 influenza season.
Thank you for your understanding and participation in this important initiative to keep our patients, employees, and visitors safe and healthy this flu season.
