Flu Visitor Restrictions

UPDATED: January 3, 2018

In alignment with rising influenza activity throughout the greater Rochester area, visitor restrictions have been put in place at the following Rochester Regional Health facilities effective at 8:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3, including:

  • Rochester General Hospital
  • Unity Hospital
  • Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic
  • Newark-Wayne Community Hospital
  • United Memorial Medical Center

If you are visiting any of the above facilities please note:

  • Visitors are limited to no more than two people per patient at a time (Parents/caregivers are not counted as visitors)
  • All visitors must be at least 14 years old (Healthy siblings of any age may visit Mother-Baby units)
  • Please do not visit a patient if you are feeling ill, including sore throat, fever, runny nose, coughing, sneezing, or other flu-like symptoms - even if you have been vaccinated against the flu

Thank you for your understanding and participation in this important initiative to keep our patients, employees, and visitors safe and healthy this flu season. If you have any questions about visitor restrictions, please contact Melissa Bronstein via email: Melissa.Bronstein@RochesterRegional.org or phone: 585.922.5609.
