About the Child & Family Program

It’s not always easy coping with a child that has challenges managing their thoughts or feelings. And it might not be easy for your child to express themselves positively or vocally. You are not alone and your child should know that it is normal for people of any age to experience these challenges.

Sometimes, parenting a child with emotional difficulties or a disorder can be hard, but we’re here for you!

Our therapeutic interventions encourage the development of coping strategies and problem-solving skills, as well as improved socialization skills, and open communication.

We can help with:

  • Changes in school performance
  • Loss of interest in friends and activities usually enjoyed
  • Changes in mood
  • Excessive worrying or anxiety
  • Long-lasting negative moods
  • Inability to cope with daily problems and activities
  • Changes in sleeping and/or eating habits
  • Visual or auditory hallucinations
  • Hyperactivity
  • Frequent temper tantrums
  • Visual or auditory hallucinations
  • Abuse of drugs and/or alcohol
