Rochester General Medical Associates (RGMA) is a comprehensive primary care center providing health care services to adult and geriatric patients (ages 18 or older). RGMA site is located on the ground floor of Rochester General Hospital where you can receive care: Outpatient Medical Department (OPD)
If you're a patient of RGMA, you will be cared for by a health care team consisting of an Attending Physician, Resident Physician, and a Nurse. Our Attending Physicians are board certified in Internal Medicine. The Attending Physician is the leader of your health care team and works closely with the Resident Physician to manage your care. Your Attending Physician remains your primary care provider for as long as you receive your care at RGMA.
A nurse is available by phone Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. A physician is available 24 hours a day for emergencies.
After hours, please call the office at (585) 922-4101 and you will be connected to the Answering Service, or you may call the Answering Service directly at (585) 723-6675.
To schedule an appointment at one of our practice sites, please contact the Outpatient Medical Department at (585) 922-4101. If you are a NEW patient, please have your medical records forwarded to our practice before making an appointment.
Due to high patient volume, it is important that you arrive to your appointment on time (or early). If you are 10 minutes (or more) late, you will have to wait for the next available provider. If a provider is not available, your appointment may have to be rescheduled for a different day.
Our center is staffed by full-time Social Workers, Care Managers, Mental Health Therapist and Financial Case Managers to provide one-on-one services for our patients. Spanish and sign language interpreters are also available.
Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) is a nationally recognized program that brings patients together with doctors, nurses, and other members of the care team to focus on helping patients get healthy and stay healthy every day. It is not a place, but rather a partnership with your primary care provider.Learn more about what being a PCMH means for you
