The ACGME-accredited, two-year Clinical Informatics Fellowship training program is a unique combination of educational and practical experiences.
Our mission is to improve lives and promote health by preparing clinical informaticians with the knowledge, skills, and compassion to lead the thoughtful modernization of healthcare through education, practice, and research. The fellowship will provide a diverse variety of didactics, rotations, and hands-on leadership opportunities. Our Clinical Informatics graduates will be well-equipped as physician leaders for the future.
On behalf of the Health Informatics team and Rochester Regional Health (RRH), it is my honor and privilege to present the Clinical Informatics Fellowship Program for your consideration.
Our program is sponsored by our Health Informatics team which is recognized regionally and nationally for its achievements and innovations.
The Health Informatics Department at RRH is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and IT informaticians who work together to implement state-of-the-art technology and play a key role in the provision of high-quality healthcare. The fellowship is built on the strong foundation of the team, and commitment of our Faculty to provide the training and education in the vast field of Informatics.

Since its inception, Health Informatics at Rochester Regional has achieved national recognition for its structure and outcomes. The Health Informatics infrastructure has been recognized by Gartner in the publication, “Best Practice Exemplar: RRH Delivers Digital Value through Clinical Informatics,” and has been imperative in RRH’s system achievement of HIMSS Stage 7 of EHR Adoption. We also have a direct affiliation with the Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT) Health Informatics MS program and other informatics-related education and research activities. Fellows will have the opportunity to interact with RIT students and collaborate with them in different activities.
