The Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing (IGH) was founded in 1964 as a one year practical nursing program, associated with Rochester General Hospital. The school is named in honor of an outstanding benefactress of the hospital.
IGH was housed within the original Westside Division of Rochester City Hospital and moved in 1966 to the Northside Division of the Rochester City Hospital, now known as Rochester General Hospital. The school is currently located within the new, state of the art facility at the Rochester Regional Health Learning Center, 1630 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621
Mission: The philosophy of IGH reflects the mission of Rochester Regional Health, to provide an evidence-based educational program that would enable a nursing professional to begin to practice in an ever-changing health care community.
Vision: Lead the evolution of health care education to enable graduates to practice nursing excellence, develop a professional identity, and to become life-long learners.
