Rochester Regional Health’s Workforce Development team provides professional growth and development opportunities for the community, including Rochester Regional Health employees.     IGH School of Practical Nursing

    Isabella Graham Hart School of Practical Nursing (IGHSPN) at Rochester Regional Health is your first step toward nursing success. With experienced staff, hands-on training, and the latest technologies, our program will provide the foundation for a successful and growing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

    Certified Nursing Assistant Training

    Offering a free program for all students, our CNA training program allows students to become immersed in the healthcare field while they train. With positions available as unit assistant at nursing and rehabilitation centers, our program will get participants on the fast-track to a career in healthcare.

  • Youth Apprenticeship Program

    Youth Apprentice Program

    The Youth Apprentice Program at Rochester Regional Health gives Rochester City School District students an opportunity to succeed and achieve a career in healthcare. Each participant earns not just his/her high school diploma, but a Certificate of Completion signed by the State of New York attesting the students have had youth employment competency training, and has the skills necessary to be a conscientious and productive employee.

    Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection

    Partnering with Hillside, the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection (HW-SC) has helped students overcome the barriers that cause them to drop out and abandon their education. We change the norm for students and families living in generational poverty by giving them the necessary guidance and the tools to be successful in school.

    New Vision

    New Vision programs provide motivated high school seniors with an opportunity to learn about a career in healthcare while integrating academic and technical courses in an immersive experience. Programs are the direct result of cooperative efforts between various educational partners and Rochester Regional Health to offer career exploration, rigorous academics, and applied work-based learning. 

  • Explorers


    Explorers is a five-week after-school program that provides information and insight into healthcare careers. Students participate in a healthcare professional driven curriculum focused on clinical and non-clinical opportunities based on student interest and workforce development trends.

  • Med Quest students


    MedQuest is an ongoing one-day event that exposes teens to careers in the healthcare field. Students participate in activities and discuss career paths (both clinical and non-clinical roles), and how healthcare systems operate and function. The program is available to schools and organizations in the community.
