Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is pleased to welcome two new physicians to the Medical Staff including:
Emily Beers, M.D., a plastic surgeon, is now seeing patients at the Department of Surgery at Newark. Dr. Beers earned her Medical Doctorate at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed her residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y.
She is available to diagnose and treat conditions requiring cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery using the latest techniques including: facial trauma, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, lesion removal and more.

Peter Stasko, D.P.M., a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon has joined Newark-Wayne Community Hospital’s medical staff. Dr. Stasko attended attended Des Moines University College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Western Pennsylvania Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency program in Pittsburgh, PA, where he served as chief resident. In addition, he completed a foot and ankle fellowship at the Mon Valley Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Fellowship with The Orthopedic Group in Pittsburgh, PA., where he focused on advanced reconstruction, arthroscopic procedures, and trauma.
