Rochester General Hospital Takes Precautions to Prevent the Spread of Seasonal Influenza

With the number of 'flu' cases increasing in the Rochester area, Rochester General Hospital is taking precautionary steps to protect the health of its patients, staff and visitors.

Effective at noon today (1/14/2014), Rochester General Hospital will begin hospital-wide restrictions, which include:

  • A maximum of two visitors per patient on all units
  • All visitors must be at least 14 years old
  • And, a strong recommendation that anyone with symptoms of illness NOT visit patients in the hospital

These restrictions will remain in place until further notice.

Thank you for making Rochester General Hospital as "flu-free" as possible.
