Rochester Regional Health is proud to announce that it has achieved 10 Beacon Awards for Excellence. These recognitions position Rochester Regional Health as a preeminent health care provider in the state as well as the nation – first in New York state and top three in the U.S.
Beacon Highlights:
All of Rochester Regional Health’s Intensive Care Units have achieved the Beacon Award for Excellence*
Rochester General Hospital (RGH): 1 of 2 telemedical cardiac units in New York State, and 1 of 17 in the nation
RGH: The only orthopedic unit in New York State, and 1 of 4 in the nation*
RGH: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is 1 of 5 in New York State, and 1 of 21 in the nation*
Unity Hospital: The only Intensive Nursing Care Unit in the nation*
Each Beacon Award for Excellence is active for three years. The achievement recognizes hospital units that employ evidence-based practice to improve patient and family outcomes as well as recognize hospital units that exemplify excellence in professional practice, patient care, and outcomes.
