Dr. Algase joined Partners in Internal Medicine back in 1989. She is a native of Buffalo, NY and obtained her undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton. She went to Medical School at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she also stayed for her residency in Internal Medicine. She served in the United States Air Force as a staff physician after her residency. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and also has taken and certified in her Geriatrics Boards in 2002 and 2012. She is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist which qualifies her to interpret bone density tests. Dr. Algase is a member and former president of the Monroe County Medical Society and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, where she is currently serving as Governor elect for the Upstate NY region. She enjoys caring for all her patients and loves having multiple generations of families under her care. She has a special love for geriatrics.
