Dr. Prasad Penmetsa graduated from Rangaraya Medical College, in India with his MBBS. He trained in Internal Medicine and gastroenterology in England and obtained his MRCPI, Membership of Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Dr. Penmetsa completed his gastroenterology Fellowship at University Hospitals of Cleveland in Ohio. He is board certified in gastroenterology and is well trained in GI procedures including ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography). His clinical interests focus on esophageal disorders, pancreatobiliary diseases, VCE, viral hepatitis as well as inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Penmetsa volunteers as teaching faculty at the Rochester Regional Health Unity Hospital Medicine Residency Program as well as an attending Gastroenterologist at Rochester General Hospital.
