Mr. Scott focuses to provide optimal care for all spine conditions by offering a treatment plan tailored to each patient and their individual needs while staying current and capable of providing all traditional and innovative options to improve quality of life. He enjoys the opportunity to provide this personalized care in a number of communities across the region and offering access to the highest quality of care in urban, suburban, and rural settings.
He works to provide personalized attention to each step of the healing process, including: education, decision making, non-operative care, surgical care, and the post-operative recovery process such that time away from the things you love to do is kept at a minimum.
Jonathan Scott is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in the management of orthopedic spine conditions. He completed his Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2002 and is currently completing his Executive MBA studying at the Simon School at the University of Rochester.
Jonathan started his career at Rochester General in 2002 with an early focus on surgery and critical care working in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and serving as the lead advance practice provider for vascular surgery and surgical critical care from 2002-2010. In 2010, he joined the Whitbeck Spinal Associates team and continues as an orthopedic spine provider with Rochester Regional Health. He is currently the lead advanced practice provider for the Rochester Regional Health Department of Orthopedics and actively serves as the Advanced Practice Provider Council physician assistant co-chair at Rochester General Hospital.
Jonathan works with a number of local physician assistant programs. He has published and has been a presenter, lecturer, or teacher at a number of local, regional, and national conferences and educational offerings
He enjoys staying active, playing hockey, exercising, and hiking and biking with his wife and 2 children. He enjoys working to offer the community state-of-the-art and innovative orthopedic care. Mr. Scott is also interested in exploring ways to improve the physician assistant profession and expand awareness of the profession and the care that is provided by physician assistants in our community
