A member of Rochester Regional Health, Rochester General Hospital Research Institute (RGHRI) is a non-profit organization established as the research component of Rochester General Hospital.

RGHRI's vision is to significantly advance translational and clinical research - capitalizing on the clinical strengths of Rochester General Hospital - to result in improved patient care.

RGHRI strives to improve the prevention and treatment of disease in four focus areas:

  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Cancer, cancer vaccines and blood disorders
  • Infectious disease and immunology
  • Biotechnology, bioengineering, imaging science and computing and information science
