Adult Outpatient Mental Health

In each of Rochester Regional Health's Ambulatory Adult Behavioral Health programs, a multidisciplinary team works with patients to develop individualized treatment plans. This plan works to meet specific needs and focuses on recovery. Patients are evaluated by a primary therapist at their initial visit to determine how we can help, and whether ongoing care is needed. A comprehensive evaluation looks at psychiatric, emotional, social, family, and medical issues. Therapy is offered by the primary therapist and involves the patient working on their identified goals. Therapists use a variety of evidence-based treatments selected to provide personalized treatment.

Common reasons for referral to Behavioral Health include:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Schizophrenia
  • Difficulty with transition (LGBTQ+)
  • Suicidal thoughts or actions
  • Psychological disorders
