Rochester Regional's pathology department is a hospital-based team, which currently consists of six pathologists. Rochester Regional supports ACM pathology staff and pathologists participate in numerous clinical trial studies each year, and their extensive expertise with rigorous data collection and reporting requirements for pathology and cytology testing are second to none.

Because our pathology department operates according to our patients' specific needs, we make it a priority to deliver high quality services in the timeliest manner possible. Our full-time staff is available around the clock to ensure superior turnaround time — in most cases, within 48 hours. We are even able to expedite specimen delivery upon request. Unlike other labs, we give clients full access to our pathology staff via email and phone, so we're able to answer all questions and resolve any issues as they occur. We've also developed a standardized approach to electronic results reporting to streamline data management and expedite output, delivering patient results quickly and efficiently.

Our organization offers a wide range of general and subspecialty services in both anatomic pathology and cytopathology. The breadth and depth of expertise in our department and the ready availability of a full range of modern diagnostic aids like flow cytometry, in-situ hybridization and immunohistochemistry, allow ACM to offer expert interpretation of nearly every type of tissue or fluid specimen encountered in research or clinical practice, and to offer expert advice about test selection.
