When sudden, severe headaches began to slow down Katie Titus, a 46-year-old Financial Advisor from Webster, she wanted answers. Tests at Rochester General Hospital revealed a bleeding vascular malformation of the brain that, if left untreated, could have caused seizures, a stroke or even death.
The Neurosurgery team at Unity Hospital quickly determined that brain surgery was required. "I research well-known surgeons outside the area, only to confirm that the world-class doctors and care I needed were right here in Rochester," she said.
After an abbreviated stay and swift recovery, Katie was back doing what she loves - working out, traveling and spending time with her husband, Bill, and their two children, Noah and Emily. She will always be grateful for the exceptional care she received at Rochester Regional.
