Rochester Regional Health's Physical Therapy team offers pelvic floor physical therapy to help you find relief from musculoskeletal problems including:

  • Incontinence
  • Pelvic pain
  • Underactive or overactive pelvic floor muscles
  • Injury and trauma
  • Pregnancy-related pain (both pre- and post-natal)
  • Dyspareunia
  • Pelvic floor dysfunction
  • Vaginal or rectal surgery

We offer a range of treatments to help reduce your symptoms, including:

  • Bladder control training
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Ergonomics and body mechanics training – Teaches you how to sit, stand and complete daily tasks more comfortably
  • Pelvic floor and core exercises
  • Massage and myofascial release
  • Relaxation techniques

Getting Started With Women's Physical Therapy

During your first appointment with our Women's Physical Therapy team, we'll review your medical history and symptoms and develop a treatment program centered on your goals. The treatment program will include exercises to do at home, which are an important part of getting you back to full function.
