Work Hardening Program
Our Work Hardening Program is an interdisciplinary, individualized, job-specific program of activity designed with the goal of returning to work. It involves daily therapy activities tailored to your needs, delivered by experienced physical and occupational therapists and managed by certified Workers Compensation health care providers. Upon approval from your insurance carrier, you may attend four-hour sessions, three to five days per week for up to four to six weeks.
We also offer:
- Work Conditioning Program — an intense, goal-oriented conditioning program designed to restore your neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular fitness and functional abilities. Upon approval from your insurance carrier, you may attend two- to four-hour sessions, two to five days per week for four weeks.
- Functional Capacity Evaluation — a systemic method of measuring your ability to function in a variety of circumstances, most often employment. Prior approval is not required by your insurance carrier; you will need a doctor’s prescription and authorization by Workers Compensation or a no-fault carrier to participate in the program.
- Isokinetic and Physical Strength Testing — pre-employment strength assessments performed on our CYBEX NORM isokinetic machine.
- Educational classes — presentations about back and spine safety, cumulative trauma disorders, stress management and injury prevention.
