The key to managing pain is finding its source - that's why Rochester Regional Health's Spine and Pain Center offers comprehensive evaluation services to understand what is causing your pain and the best way to treat it. Early recognition and treatment of spine issues and other pain-causing conditions can reduce your chance of later complications and loss of function.

Pain Evaluation Services

Our spine and treatment experts use the full range of evaluation techniques, including:

  • Complete medical, neurological, and musculoskeletal evaluations
  • Comprehensive diagnostic imaging including CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, PET scans, and other bone scans
  • EMG/nerve conduction studies
  • Evaluation for inflammatory arthritis

Once we've pinpointed the source of your pain, our specialists will develop an individualized treatment plan to address your condition and relieve pain.

  • Spinal cord stimulators (a pulse generator and electrodes placed in the epidural section of the back are used to block pain signals in people with chronic pain)
  • Radiofrequency ablation
  • Physical Therapy
    • Manual Therapy
    • Strenghtening
    • Range-of-motion and core exercises
    • Aqua therapy

Our team also coordinates referrals and recommendations for providers of alternative pain management techniques, including acupuncture, massage therapy, and chiropractic care.
