As a partner in the health care of patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of Unity Hospital, our staff is committed to creating an environment that eliminates error.

To that end, our staff is unwilling to tolerate less than excellence. To accomplish such a goal, our staff is committed to partnering with the physicians, physician's assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, ICU technicians, care facilitators, social workers, pharmacists, clerical staff, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, clinical dieticians, clergy, housekeepers and other staff directly or indirectly participating in the care of patients.

In addition to the collaboration with those involved in caring for patients, our staff is committed to partnering with each patient and with the patient's family in offering open communication directed at individual goals determined for each individual patient.

This is why our profession exists - to attempt to restore health to the ill and less fortunate. These are the most basic of our obligations and we will provide nothing less and accept nothing less.
