CaldwellChris 

Christopher B. Caldwell, MD

Dr. Caldwell is from Vermont and attended Bowdoin College, where he received a BS in chemistry and biology. He then earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Caldwell completed his surgical residency at the University of Rochester. He later completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Following his training, Dr. Caldwell returned to Rochester and joined the practice in 1990. Dr. Caldwell is a frequent presenter to patient and community organizations. Dr. Caldwell has co-authored research papers, and contributed to chapters in medical texts related to his specialty areas. Dr. Caldwell is certified by the American Board of Surgery. 
SchiralliMatt

Matthew P. Schiralli, MD

Dr. Schiralli is a lifelong resident of Western New York. Dr. Schiralli completed his undergrad at the University of Rochester, followed by medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Dr. Schiralli returned back to Rochester, and completed his surgical residency the University of Rochester.

Dr. Schiralli has presented projects and published articles related to surgical education, wound care, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Schiralli interests include advanced laparoscopy, endocrine, gastrointestinal, hernia, breast and melanoma surgeries. Dr. Schiralli is certified by the American Board of Surgery. 
TrippRob 

Robert J. Tripp, MD

Dr. Tripp was born and raised in Rochester and attended McQuaid Jesuit High School. Dr. Tripp earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He subsequently earned his medical degree from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Dr. Tripp completed his surgical residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Tripp joined the practice in 1994. Dr. Tripp has a special interest in endocrine, gastrointestinal, hernia and oncologic surgeries. Dr. Tripp is certified by the American Board of Surgery. 
WatkinsBrian 

Brian P. Watkins, MD

Dr. Watkins is originally from Washington State and attended Seattle University where he received a BS in general science. He then attended the Medical College of Wisconsin where he earned both a masters degree in anatomy as well as his medical degree. Dr Watkins completed his surgical residency at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin. After residency, Dr. Watkins was an attending physician at a Mayo Clinic hospital in Wisconsin. Dr Watkins moved to Rochester in 2006, and became an attending surgeon at Rochester General Hospital. Dr. Watkins joined Genesee Surgical Associates in 2009.

Dr. Watkins has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques and endocrine surgery.  Dr. Watkins is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

NugentVictoria

Victoria U. Nugent, NP

Victoria is from Pennsylvania and earned her BS in nursing from Alfred University. She then attended the University of Buffalo for a MS as a surgical nurse practitioner. Victoria has been a surgical clinical nurse specialist, staff nurse in the surgical ICU, a community health nurse, and nursing instructor at Monroe Community College, before joining the practice in 1991.

Victoria has long been committed to ensuring that steps are taken to limit potential problems in surgical patients at risk of developing lymphedema. She also treats patients as a wound consultant both in the office and in long term care facilities.

Victoria is responsible for patients' initial assessments, preparation for surgery, postoperative management, discharge planning, education, and outpatient follow-up. 

ShevlinLisa

Lisa Shevlin, RPAC

Lisa is originally from Grand Island, New York.  She earned her BS in Biology from Indiana University in Pennsylvania. Lisa then earned her BS from the physician assistant program at D'Youville College and MS in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Lisa was a surgical PA at Rochester General Hospital.  Lisa has experience assisting in the operating room and caring for patients during their hospital stay. She was also an adjutant instructor for physician assistant students at Rochester Institute of Technology. 

Lisa joined the practice in 2012.  Lisa is responsible for new patients' initial assessments, preparation for surgery, postoperative management, discharge planning, education, and outpatient follow-up.  She performed office procedures under the supervision of our physicians.  

YuStephanie 

Stephanie Yu, RPAC

Stephanie grew up in Clarence, New York and attended college at Rochester Institute of Technology. She earned her BS from the physician assistant program at RIT. Stephanie was previously a surgical PA at Rochester General Hospital. She has extensive experience assisting in the operating room and treating patients during their hospital stays. Stephanie joined Genesee Surgical Associates in 2006.

Stephanie is responsible for new patients' initial assessments, preparation for surgery, postoperative management, discharge planning, education, and outpatient follow-up. She also performs numerous office procedures under the supervision of our physicians.
