Summer Student Volunteer Program About the Summer Student Volunteer Program Two (2), four (4) week-long sessions Students volunteer four (4) hours every day (Monday-Friday) for the entire four weeks Students can select their preference: morning (usually 8am-12pm), afternoon (12-4pm) or late-afternoon (4-7pm) Students volunteer in one (1) assigned department/area for the entire four weeks Weekend volunteering is an option for students who are not able to volunteer during the week. For weekend volunteering, select the "Summer Student Program (Weekends)" application option. Apply Now for Summer Weekend Volunteering Key Dates Sessions Session #1 (June 25-July 20, 2018) Session #1 is now full Session #2 (July 23-August 17, 2018) Students must be able to attend an all-day orientation and training on Monday, July 16, 2018 Round #1 Interviews and Placements The last day to schedule an interview for Round #1 placements is Friday, April 6th (by 4pm) To be eligible for Round #1 placements, students must be interviewed by Friday, April 13th Round #1 placements will be made by and communicated to students by Friday, April 20th (6:00pm) Applications Applications will remain open for Session #2 (July 23-August 17) until the session is full. Requirements At least 14 years of age and completed the 8th grade by the start of the program. Able to participate in the entirety of the session of their choice. (Maximum three absences over the 4 weeks.) Minimum 82% ("B") or 3.0 GPA/grade level with supporting documentation.
