Dr. Caldwell earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and biology from Bowdoin College in Maine. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Dr. Caldwell completed his surgical residency at the University of Rochester and a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Caldwell returned to Rochester in 1990 when he joined Genesee Surgical Associates. A frequent presenter to patient and community organizations, Dr. Caldwell has co-authored research papers, and contributed to chapters in medical texts related to his specialty areas. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery.
