Dr. Atul Gupta is an accomplished board certified interventional radiologist who specializes in minimally invasive procedures. His clinical expertise in procedures, especially with balloon kyphoplasty, peripheral vascular angioplasty and stenting, uterine fibroid embolization, prostate Hydrogel spacer placement, and varicose vein ablation treatments, has earned Dr. Gupta the reputation as a well-respected interventional radiologist in the Rochester region. He has spent nearly his entire life in the upstate New York area, completing medical school at the SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse and training as a surgeon prior to his diagnostic radiology residency at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then left the area for a year to finish his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at The Washington Hospital Center. He then worked at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo as the Chief of Interventional Radiology prior to joining Rochester Radiology. He is Chairman at Newark-Wayne Hospital. Dr. Gupta has more than 20 years of experience in interventional radiology. Dr. Gupta is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR) and is the current President of the New York State Radiological Society (NYSRS).
