Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (TMVR)

Expertly Reshaping Your Mitral Valve

Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (also called MitraClip) is a minimally invasive procedure that reshapes and repairs the mitral valve (heart valve) through a tube with a clip attached. The small clip reduces mitral regurgitation, a condition where blood flows in reverse. TMVR helps normal blood flow to occur. It is an option for patients with heart failure, or those who are not ideal candidates for mitral valve surgery because of age, heart failure, physical condition, prior cardiac surgery, or other factors.
