Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation

You will benefit from cardiac rehabilitation if you've had a recent heart event such as a myocardial infarction (MI), coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), angioplasty (PTCA), stent, angina, congestive heart failure, valve repair, LVAD, or heart transplant. Our Cardiac Rehab is a medically supervised exercise program with lifestyle modifications and health educators to help individuals with heart disease live long and healthy lives.

We will create a personalized exercise program focused on helping you build stamina and endurance. This will strengthen your heart muscle, reduce your cardiac symptoms, and improve your quality of life. We will also coach you on lifestyle changes that can help reduce your future cardiac risks. You can attend classes on nutrition, exercise, stress reduction, and heart health.

All our programs are supervised by our highly experienced and certified staff of nurses and exercise physiologists. Each recommendation is customized, but the program generally involves 36 exercise and/or education sessions.

Most health insurance plans cover the majority of program costs; copays and deductibles apply.

Peripheral Arterial Disease Rehabilitation

The PAD Rehabilitation Program is for those who have difficulty walking because of PAD or circulatory problems in their legs. Aging, diabetes, and smoking can lead to leg pain, cramping, burning, and limping as a result of minimal exertion.

This program is a 12-week, medically-supervised program personalized to fit your individual needs. The advantages of vascular rehab include:

  • Improved walking distance (endurance)
  • Improved quality of life and stress management
  • Increased muscular endurance and strength
  • Reduced risk of PAD progression, thereby reducing cardiovascular risk factors

Eligibility

If you experience intermittent pain or profound fatigue in the muscle that is brought on by exertion, and then relieved by a few moments of rest, you may be a candidate for vascular rehabilitation. If you have had a surgical procedure and no longer have discomfort, you are not eligible for the program.

Most health insurance plans cover the majority of program costs; copays and deductibles apply.
