Shoulder Injury Care

The Rochester Regional Health Shoulder Care Program experts specialize in treating the full range of shoulder injuries, fractures, and tears using the latest nonsurgical and surgical techniques.

We typically take a conservative approach, using noninvasive methods wherever possible, including:

  • Heat and cold
  • Immobilization with a sling or brace
  • Oral medication to alleviate pain
  • Physical therapy to build strength and range of motion
  • Injections – cortisone, biologic (PRP/Stem Cells)

If these treatments do not eliminate pain or restore function, or if your condition is more complex, surgery may be recommended. There is a wide range of surgical options, depending on your injury. We have an exceptional group of fellowship-trained sports surgeons who offer cutting-edge techniques and arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery to restore function.  Surgery options may include:

  • Rotator Cuff Repair surgery
  • Labral repair surgery
  • Tendon Repair Surgery
  • Shoulder fracture fixation surgery
  • Shoulder replacement
