Helping Patients Get Back on Their Feet

The Rehabilitation Program at Rochester Regional Health has a simple philosophy of care–we’re focused entirely on our patients. As each person recovers from the circumstances that sent them to the hospital, they will have skilled nurses, experienced therapists, and care coordinators dedicated to their personalized rehabilitative journey.

Personalized Geriatric Rehabilitation

Most people come to the Rehabilitation Program right after a hospital stay. Here, our skilled nursing staff and a team of experienced therapists create an individualized care plan that best meets each person’s needs and personal goals.

Our care team understands the unique needs of our older patients. Our care is tailored to meet multiple issues, if necessary, and we consider all physical, cognitive, and functional needs at once. With the strength of the Rochester Regional Health system behind us, we seamlessly coordinate care to ensure that no aspect of recovery is forgotten. Together, we empower our patients to live as independently as possible.

Rehabilitation Services

As we work to find a rehabilitation plan that suits each patient’s needs, we’ll consider occupational, physical, restorative, and speech therapy. Our team will involve the patient, their family, and their care team in every step of the process, keeping everyone up to speed on the prognosis and timeline for heading home.

  • Occupational Therapy

As we work to find a rehabilitation plan that suits each patient’s needs, we’ll consider occupational, physical, restorative, and speech therapy. Our team will involve the patient, their family, and their care team in every step of the process, keeping everyone up to speed on the prognosis and timeline for heading home.

  • Physical Therapy

Our expert rehabilitation physical therapists work with patients to create and enact the best course of treatment for whatever is limiting their ability to move or perform daily activities. An individualized plan may focus on improving muscular strength, balance, flexibility, or functional mobility depending on everyone’s needs.

  • Restorative Therapy

In restorative therapy, we help patients to maintain function, improve their self-esteem, and foster independence. Restorative treatment is ongoing and works to promote everyone’s ability to live as safely and independently as possible.

  • Speech Therapy

If speaking, hearing, swallowing, expression, or comprehension are slowing a patient’s recovery, our experienced speech therapists can help.
