What are School-Based Health Centers?

The Rochester Regional Health School-Based Health Centers are staffed by caring and dedicated medical and mental health professionals who are committed to providing care and support for students in need. School-Based Health Centers allow your child to receive care in a convenient location. Scheduled and walk-in student health services are provided when schools are open and are there to add to the care your child is already receiving from their primary care physician.

School-Based Services

Busy students and busy parents can find it difficult to fit a visit to the doctor’s office or mental health clinic into their schedule. Our school-based services go further than just primary care and focus on assisting anyone who needs it. Our services include:

  • Primary health care
  • Immunizations
  • Nutrition education
  • Physical examinations
  • Mental health evaluations and ongoing treatment
  • Case management

We are proud to offer services to children where they spend the majority of their time, meeting medical and mental health needs in convenient locations throughout the Rochester City School District.

Where to Find Us

Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) are community-based and patient-directed organizations that deliver comprehensive, culturally competent, high-quality primary health services. Our FQHC sites provide services regardless of patients' ability to pay and charge for services on a sliding fee scale. Learn more about FQHCs!
