Rochester General Hospital is a teaching affiliate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, Ross University School of Medicine, Saba University School of Medicine and the American University of the Caribbean. Students from these institutions are eligible to schedule rotations at RGH. If you are from an osteopathic school or other institution, you can contact the Graduate Medical Education Office to see if any options are available.
Saba core rotations are scheduled through the Saba office. We do not offer core rotations to other students. The electives that we offer are Internal Medicine Sub-I, Infectious Disease, Plastic Surgery, Diagnostic Radiology, and a specialty elective in Interventional Radiology. All electives are 4 weeks in length and are scheduled by set block dates; to be considered for an elective rotation, students must complete all of their core rotations prior to the start of the elective and be in their 4th year of medical school. The IM Sub-I elective has additional requirements: minimum USMLE score of 220 on first attempt and no failing grades (proof is required).
If you are interested in scheduling a rotation, please email Khaleeyah Hudson directly at Khaleeyah.Hudson@rochesterregional.org in the Graduate Medical Education office or you can email the Graduate Medical Education general email at GraduateMedical.Education@rochesterregional.org
