Program Director’s Letter:

It is my privilege to be a part of the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, which is the newest addition of Rochester Regional Health’s robust fellowship programs. Our team is honored to train and work alongside the next generation of cardiologists!
The Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program is built on a strong foundation and history of training physicians who have enhanced our communities. We believe medical education is at the forefront of healthcare and this program further strengthens our unwavering commitment to excellent, high-quality care. It combines the two things we are most passionate about—patient care and exceptional clinical cardiology training.
I am looking forward to the growth of this fellowship program and the many successes of our fellows.

About the Program

Rochester Regional Health is excited to begin the ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program in July 2019. Our Cardiovascular Disease Fellows will be trained by the nationally-renowned group of physicians at the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute. As a Cleveland Clinic Heart Surgery Affiliate, the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute serves as an affiliate heart hospital in New York State. Fellows will have an opportunity to study various areas of Cardiology at Rochester Regional Health, and will have the option to select elective rotations based on clinical interest.

Rochester Regional Health consists of five hospitals covering a 14-county area in Western New York, with seamless integrated health care and the highest level of cardiovascular care through the nationally-renowned Sands-Constellation Heart Institute.  As a Cardiovascular Disease Fellow, you will primarily care for patients at Rochester General Hospital, our flagship hospital, and Unity Hospital, both of which are premier teaching hospitals.  Rochester General was recently recognized as an America’s top 50 Hospital in 2019 by Healthgrades.

Our Fellowship program is proud to offer strong clinical training to our fellows with rotations in all the core cardiovascular subspecialties in order to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to care for patients with cardiovascular disease. Our faculty are outstanding mentors, teachers and clinical providers who have trained at some of the most renowned academic programs in the country. They are passionate about education and committed to providing the highest quality of care. Fellows will have ample opportunities to treat a large volume of diverse patients with state-of-the-art technology. Fellows will also have the opportunity to answer key clinical cardiology questions through research.  Our fellows will graduate with the full skill set necessary to begin their careers as excellent Cardiologists.

We look forward to being a part of your journey.
