Amanda enjoys what she does because she feels as if she can really make a difference in children's lives. She feels no matter the age, she can try to relate to her patient(s) and help guide them medically and emotionally. Amanda got into medicine because she wants to help people, especially children and allow a safe place for children to come when in need. She offers a non judgmental approach to any situation and am open to any and all conversations. Amanda hopes when patients come to see her that they feel safe, comfortable and are in a trusting environment.
Amanda started her career at SJF as a nursing undergrad. She graduated there in 2013 and worked at Strong on an adult floor for one year then transferred to the NICU where she worked for 6 years. She went back for her masters in 2015 and graduated U of R in 2018. She started with RGPA as a PNP in the fall of 2019 while she continued to work as an RN in the NICU until fall of 2020. Now she is currently only at RGPA with intention of starting to dabble in the RGH/Unity nursery in the future. Amanda feels so blessed to work with such a great group of practitioners and doctors.
She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and two dogs. Her daughter is 3 and keeps her husband and her on their toes! They enjoy swimming, going on adventures and the outdoors. Her daughter loves to bake, so there are usually some good baked goods in their kitchen. They enjoy going to church on Sunday mornings and spending as much time with their families as possible. Amanda loves to travel, and try new foods. One of her favorite restaurants is Tapas.
