Dr. Rubin strives to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families by helping you understand what is happening at each point in treatment, as well as what treatment options are available and which hold the most promise. Dr. Rubin prides herself on providing the most current and evidence-based but personalized care that is tailored to each patients’ personal wishes. She believes that all decisions about care should be made together by a patient and their physician, and that it is her job to empower patients through providing education and honest discussion.
Dr. Rubin grew up in Connecticut, and completed her undergraduate degree, medical degree, and residency training at the University of Connecticut. Following residency, she completed her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California Davis (Sacramento, CA). Throughout her medical career she has been recognized for her dedication to patient care, including being a proud inductee of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Rubin specializes in surgical management of a wide spectrum of gynecological cancers and gestational trophoblastic disease. She is well-versed in delivering treatment such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and hormonal therapy. She also has expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgical techniques, as well as fertility conserving management of early-stage gynecologic cancers. Dr. Rubin provides compassionate and personalized care to a diverse patient population, including LGBTQIA+ individuals, prioritizing all patients’ dignity and well-being.
In her free time, Dr. Rubin enjoys day trips, reading, creative writing, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and their 2 cats, gecko, and many plants.
