Alterations in health can lead to psychological and social discord for patients. It impacts not only themselves but their family and community. Dr. Stelmach gets satisfaction from being a partner with her patients as they navigate the healthcare system and embraces the role of educator, planner, counselor, and safety net to ensure each patient has the best experience possible.
Although born in California, Stelmach has spent the majority of her life in Rochester. She attended the University of Rochester for undergraduate and graduate school, and continued additional education at Roberts Wesleyan University. She practiced as an RN before becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
Stelmach has worked as a Nurse Practitioner since 1990.
She finds joy and peace in hiking, kayaking, reading, yoga and has even dabbled in creative writing a bit.
