Benjamin P Silver, MD

Benjamin Silver, MD, is a radiation oncologist with Rochester Regional Health who treats patients with both cancerous and benign conditions using advanced radiotherapy techniques. He specializes in IMRT/IGRT, brachytherapy, radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), and radiopharmaceutical therapies, with a particular interest in brachytherapy and precision-based radiation treatment. 

Dr. Silver works closely with a multidisciplinary team of specialists across our network to ensure patients receive the right care, from the right provider, at the right location. This coordinated approach provides access to advanced treatment options, specialized expertise, and a seamless experience throughout every stage of care.

Dr. Silver earned both his undergraduate degree in Computer Science and his medical degree from the University of Miami. He completed his internship at North Shore/Long Island Jewish and residency training in Radiation Oncology at SUNY Downstate. He also completed additional brachytherapy training through rotations at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

In addition to clinical care, Dr. Silver has contributed to research, national presentations, and peer-reviewed publications. Outside of work, Dr. Silver enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter as well as running.
