Lucy A Sheils, MD

Following her fellowship training, Dr. Sheils served as an Attending Pathologist & Laboratory Director at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, NY. From 1997-1998 she also served as the Director of the Cytopathology Division of ACM Medical Laboratories. Dr. Sheils joined the staff of Rochester General Hospital in 1998. Dr. Sheils is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Rochester. Her areas of interest include breast and gastrointestinal pathology. Dr. Sheils served as Laboratory Director for Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic from 2015 through 2018, and continues to serve as the Laboratory Director at the Lipson Cancer Center at Linden Oaks. Dr. Sheils is a member of the Core Faculty for the RGH Medical Technology program. Dr. Sheils frequently presents at multidisciplinary patient care conferences, and she is responsible for pathology quality metrics required for Lipson Cancer Center accreditation by the American College of Surgeons.
