Opened in October 2020 on the Rochester General Hospital campus, the Sands-Constellation Center for Critical Care is a 7-story, 312,000-square-foot structure that is more than just a building. The Center is home to visionary innovation with breakthrough technology and equipment, brought to life by exceptional care teams who are trained in providing the highest level of care for those who need it most.

With a new surgical care center, women's health and newborn care suites focused on helping families grow and 36 private patient rooms per floor in our medical, surgical and oncology care areas, we're enhancing lives and preserving health in a place built for the future of healthcare and the future of our community.

New Surgical Center

The new state-of-the-art operating suite consits of 20 operating rooms designed for various procedures, and the post-anesthesia care unit is equipped with 28 private patient bays with extensive nurse support. Now Open

Women's Health and Newborn Care

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) features 14 private rooms with more space and comfort for babies and families. The postpartum suite has 20 private rooms designed to ensure a family-centered environment around both mother and baby. Open October 2020

Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Oncology

With 36 private patient rooms per floor all with natural light, the new critical care center provides the ultimate comfortable healing environment for our patients. Open January 2021
