CLIFTON SPRINGS, NY – Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is proud to announce that Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic (CSHC) has been honored for 100 years of membership in the American Hospital Association (AHA).

This milestone highlights a long-standing partnership driven by a shared commitment to strengthening community healthcare and improving access to care. AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine presented the award to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic president Michael Rulffes as a tribute to this continued leadership.

“The American Hospital Association is proud to recognize Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic for 100 years of membership in the AHA and for their dedication to Wayne and Ontario counties,” said AHA Regional Executive Michael Draine. “We thank the leaders, caregivers, and other staff for their commitment to continuously meeting the changing health needs of the patients and communities they serve.”

As a 262-bed hospital, Rochester Regional Health’s Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic provides patients with advanced services including ambulatory surgery, radiology, mental health care, and a wide range of specialty offerings. Together with RRH’s integrated system, these services form a critical network of accessible, community-centered care that supports thousands of families each year.

“Reaching 100 years with the American Hospital Association is a meaningful reflection of who we are and why we serve.” Said President and COO of the CSHC, Michael Rulffes. “Our history is rooted in caring for our neighbors, and today we continue that mission by expanding access, investing in innovation, and supporting the dedicated caregivers who make this work possible.”

Originally built in 1972 to replace the historic Sanitarium Building, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic continues to honor its roots in restorative healing while evolving to meet the modern needs of the communities it serves. This recognition from the AHA highlights the hospital’s long-standing commitment to innovation, caregiving excellence, and community partnership; values that continue to guide Rochester Regional Health today.

Founded in 1898, the American Hospital Association serves as the national advocate and unifying voice for hospitals, healthcare networks and related providers across the United States. Today, nearly 5,000 hospitals, health systems, care networks and other providers are part of the AHA, working together to shape national health-care policy, prepare for emerging challenges, and advance high-quality care. The AHA also offers education, resources, and data insights to support hospital leaders and inform evolving health-care trends nationwide.
