ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Rochester Regional Health is proud to announce Michael Rulffes, MBA, President and Chief Operating Officer of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital (NWCH) and Clifton Springs Hospital and Clinic (CSHC) has been named to the Becker's Hospital Review Community Hospital CEOs to Know list in recognition of his leadership at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital.
The national recognition highlights leaders who are strengthening access to care, expanding services, and reinforcing the vital role community hospitals play in delivering high-quality, cost-effective care close to home.
As President and COO of NWCH, Michael Rulffes oversees strategy, operations, and workforce culture while advancing Rochester Regional Health's mission to provide coordinated, accessible care across the region.

The hospital has also earned the American Heart Association's Get With The Guidelines® Gold Plus recognition for stroke care with a special Rural Stroke Gold honor. His commitment to workforce engagement, operational excellence, and innovation continues to strengthen access to high-quality care for patients throughout the Finger Lakes region.
