ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health has once again been recognized by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care for 2026. This prestigious recognition is awarded to a select group of healthcare organizations across the country that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to supporting employees and fostering a positive workplace culture.
The rankings, developed by Newsweek in partnership with research firm Plant-A Insights, are based on feedback from more than 151,000 healthcare employees nationwide and analysis of over 3.3 million company reviews. Organizations were evaluated across more than 120 key performance indicators, including leadership, workplace culture, work-life balance, integrity, compensation, and employee satisfaction.
"Being recognized by Newsweek as one of America's Greatest Workplaces in Health Care is a reflection of the culture our teams have built together," said Richard ‘Chip’ Davis, PhD, CEO of Rochester Regional Health. "We know that exceptional patient care begins with an engaged and supported workforce. By investing in our employees and creating an environment where they can thrive, we strengthen our ability to deliver the high-quality, compassionate care our communities deserve."
In addition to employee feedback, the selection process incorporated publicly available data, media analysis, and third-party performance indicators to provide a comprehensive assessment of workplace excellence. Organizations found to have engaged in discriminatory or harmful practices were excluded from consideration, underscoring the rigor and integrity of the recognition.
Rochester Regional Health remains committed to creating an environment where employees can grow, thrive, and feel supported throughout their careers. Through investments in professional development, well-being initiatives, leadership development, and a culture grounded in collaboration and belonging, the health system strives to ensure every team member has the resources needed to succeed.
That commitment extends beyond the workplace. Rochester Regional Health recognizes that a positive employee experience is closely linked to the quality of care patients receive. By supporting its workforce and fostering a culture of engagement, respect, and purpose, the organization strengthens its ability to deliver exceptional care and improve the health and well-being of the communities it serves.
