BATAVIA, N.Y. — Rochester Regional Health is proud to announce that United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) has once again been recognized for outstanding excellence in wound care and healing, earning three of the highest honors awarded by Healogics.
For the third consecutive year, UMMC’s Wound Care Center received the President’s Circle Award, while also achieving its 10th consecutive Center of Distinction Award and 4th consecutive Clinical Excellence Award.
Among more than 600 wound care centers nationwide eligible for consideration, UMMC is one of just 35 centers in the country to receive the President’s Circle distinction and the only center in New York State to earn the recognition.
The President’s Circle Award recognizes centers that demonstrate exceptional clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, operational excellence, and a commitment to advancing wound healing care. The Center of Distinction and Clinical Excellence awards further highlight sustained performance in patient outcomes, healing rates, and overall quality of care.
“These recognitions are a direct reflection of the extraordinary dedication and expertise of our wound care team,” said Jill Graziano, President and COO of UMMC. “To be recognized nationally year after year and to stand alone in New York State with this distinction speaks to the exceptional care our patients receive every day at United Memorial Medical Center.”
“You can have the best prescriptions, the best protocols, the best equipment - and this team has all of that - but what you cannot fake, or manufacture is the way this team shows up.” Said wound care patient Kyle Jacque. “The feeling that every single person here actually wants to be here and truly cares about who walks through their doors. Coming to this Center wasn't just a second opinion, it was a second chance.”
UMMC’s continued success in wound care is driven by a multidisciplinary approach focused on evidence-based treatment, compassionate patient care, and ongoing collaboration among clinical and operational teams. The repeated national recognition underscores the center’s commitment to delivering high-quality healing outcomes while continuing to grow and enhance services for the community.
The UMMC Wound Care Center specializes in the treatment of chronic and non-healing wounds, offering advanced therapies and personalized care plans designed to improve healing and quality of life for patients throughout the region.
