ROCHESTER, N.Y.— Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is celebrating another significant advancement in regional cancer care with the installation of the Ethos Linac Adaptive Radiotherapy system at Rochester General Hospital.
This state-of-the-art system uses daily CT imaging, artificial intelligence (AI) and a rapid replanning process to generate customized treatment plans in real time for each patient, accounting for natural anatomical changes that may occur between treatments. Physicians review and approve each aspect of the plan, maintaining full clinical decision-making authority while ensuring care reflects the patient’s body at that specific moment.
The addition of the Ethos system to RRH’s comprehensive cancer care program not only strengthens its existing radiation oncology services, but also expands access to highly personalized, precision-driven adaptive radiotherapy. This technology ensures that more patients in our region can benefit from some of the most advanced, responsive cancer treatment available today, right here in Rochester.
Video Interviews with RRH Physician Dr. Jeffrey Haynes, EVP of Cancer Services & Dr. Joshua Jones, Division Head of Radiation Oncology as well as Photos & Broll of the Ethos Machine are available for download here.
