Dr. Kent prioritize using evidence-based practices to ensure that each child and family is getting the best level of care. She is dedicated to working with families to provide support and tools that will meet each child’s unique needs to promote healthy development and improve functioning.
Dr. Kent is a licensed psychologist with a strong background in providing evidence-based treatments to children and families. She earned a master's degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University at Buffalo. She spent a portion of graduate training living in Miami, Florida and working at the Center for Children and Families at Florida International University. She completed her training at Nationwide Children's Hospital (Columbus, OH) in an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
Prior to joining the team at Rochester Regional Health, Dr. Kent ran a specialty program at a nonprofit in Chicago for children with ADHD and related difficulties for five years. She moved to Rochester in 2020 to be closer to family.
