When you or a loved one is hospitalized, you want to know that you will receive the best medical care available. You want a team of physicians who are compassionate, attentive and dedicated to healthcare needs.
The Rochester General Hospitalist Group (RGHG) is a dedicated team of physicians committed to caring for patients who are hospitalized at Rochester General Hospital. RGHG partners with patients' primary care physicians, hospital staff, and other support partners to ensure that each patient receives the highest level of medical care and attention.
Care after leaving the hospital
In addition to caring for patients in the hospital, RGHG offers primary care services for patients who need continued care after leaving the hospital. RGHG physicians are associated with the Rochester General Medical Associates (RGMA), a Primary Care Medical Center that provides general health services to adults age 18 years of age or older.
"(The) hospital doctors (were) very good - very pleased with care & service. All of them were excellent health care providers: Dr. Zsenits, Dr. Stein, and PA, Margot Searles."

While you are in the hospital
If you or your family would like to speak with your Hospitalists, it is best to ask the nurse taking care of you to page the doctor. Either the attending Hospitalist or one of the other team members (Physician Assistant, Resident Physician) will answer your call during business hours. A Hospitalist is present at the hospital at all times and is available after hours in case your medical needs require immediate attention.
