Theodore White

theodore c white mdDr. Theodore C. White was born October 1834 in Stamford, Connecticut. The doctor’s early education was at the state schools of Otsego County N.Y. and he was graduated from the Medical College at Albany, N.Y. in 1859.

Later that year he moved to Rochester and soon established a very successful practice. Dr. White was a pioneer in the practice of Homeopathy in western N.Y. and through his success, helped to build public confidence in that school of medicine.

Dr. White’s experience and respected voice became instrumental in the establishment of the Rochester Homeopathic Hospital in 1887. He was elected the first President of the Medical Staff and held that position for the first twelve years of the hospital’s history.

Dr. White was a member of the Homeopathic Medical Society of Monroe County, Western N.Y. , New York State Homeopathic Society, and the American Institution of Homeopathy.

Dr. White died on November 18, 1898 in the home of his nephew, Dr. Charles R. Sumner.
